4 months old...We have been trying to get bath pictures for awhile, but she doesn't like getting out of the bath. The time in the water is OK to her, but she cries when she gets dressed. Notice the fat rolls :). I took her to the doctor today, and the doctor said "She is huge!". Not so much, doc...I checked the percentiles, and she is between 25 and 50 for length and between 50 and 75 for weight (weight was 14 lbs 13 oz today). Elan likes to squeeze cheeks and say "chubby baby" or "bebe gordita" so she is just a little chubby or pleasantly plump as some say.

The doctor said my kids have quirks, and I guess that is the case since Elan wouldn't eat meat or too many real foods until age 2 1/2. Ellery has her feeding issues with not taking the bottle, only wanting to nurse with her head turned one way, etc. The doctor said she doesn't have an ear infection, and her neck appears normal so she is stumped. She did agree that it would be good to get her on cereal which might help with some of these issues. Since she already sleeps 9-10 hours at night and sometimes 12 hours without eating, the doctor thought the cereal would help her finish out the nights more consistently. Mommy would like to quit getting up at 3, 4, or 5 AM.

Ellery has discovered she can be loud, and she will "talk". She still needs to sleep in her own bed and just cat naps here and there when we are out and about. She isn't turning over yet, but she can now sit in her walker or exersaucer, and we are working up to the Johnny Jump Up. You'll see in the picture that she would rather chew it. She is also smiling at her brother in the Johnny Jump Up. He thinks he is so funny (he calls himself a jester after reading this book about a jester), and evidently she thinks he is funny too!

15 weeks old...these pictures were taken Sunday, a day before she turned 15 weeks old. She is wearing a new outfit that she got from our friends, the Kalanys. She can now sit in the walker or exersaucer if we put a blanket in to fill the extra space and help support her. She loves watching her brother, and it makes her smile. She is sleeping well at night, sometimes waking once to eat but otherwise sleeping about 11 hours (going 12 hours without eating). She is getting talkative too, making lots of fun sounds.

Ellery is three months old! Ellery is already three months old, and here are a couple pictures from the weekend. She is starting to smile more and more, so we got a few happy pictures this time. Her aunt Erika came to visit for an afternoon while she was in Atlanta, so we snapped a picture of the two of them together.

Ellery's trip to Huntsville...not that she had a clue what was going on, but we went to Huntsville Alabama to visit her great great aunt and uncle and saw the space museum. But she slept through some of it and didn't know what was going on the rest of the time!

Ellery's Christmas...not that she knew what was going on, but Ellery seemed to do well at Noni and Lito's house and enjoyed her time with family friends, the Kalanys. She stayed awake during the Christmas Eve service and didn't fuss too terribly much. She has started sleeping through the night, going 12 hours between feedings. She eats some nights, but mommy is glad for some full nights of sleep.

Christmas is coming, and Ellery is all smiles! Here are a few pictures from a get together with Anthony's family and Ellery in her Christmas outfits. Too bad she wasn't smiling a couple weeks ago when we took the Christmas card photo, but now we can get some smiley pictures. She also slept through the night twice this week (eating at 7 and making it until 6:30 or 7 AM) so that is her gift to mama for Christmas!

Two month pictures...Ellery is now smiling as you can see from some of the pictures. She is doing a litle better at sleeping at night, eating at 7 PM, going to bed around 8, waking at three-ish to eat, and then making it until a little after 7 AM. She went to the doctor a few days ago, and she weighed 12 lbs 6 oz. Elan didn't weigh that until he was three months old, so she is a month ahead of where he was. But he also didn't seem to need to eat as often!
