Ellery's third birthday--Although Ellery has been saying she is three for some time now, now she finally is three. She enjoyed her birthday, but she never complained for presents. Once she got to opening, of course she enjoyed it. Her cake was in the shape of a gift, but she never ate any cake. Only Skittles from the top of it! It was a day where Elan had a flag football game, but we celebrated after we got home. We are glad Dee and Pop could come watch the gift opening.

Lately Elan has been wanting to do silly things and then have me take pictures of them. He and Ellery made a sandwich on the coffee table, and he asked for a picture!

As it is turning fall weather, the kids are enjoying getting outside. Last Friday Ellery wanted to play with Ellia, and we took some sweet sister pictures.

Ellery got her second hair cut this past Friday, and the lady there braided it. She wasn't all that thrilled about it, but I made her pose for a picture. Too bad mommy doesn't know how to do it! It was cute, and it was a nice variation for her hair.
She had to take snacks for school the first week of September, so we took frogs from apples (her class is called Fantastic Frogs), sunflowers from cheese and raisins, and frozen frog egg pops (no picture--but kiwi fruit and limeade made into pops). Looking forward to next time she gets to be snack leader.

Ellery's first day of school was August 16th. She is part of the Fantastic Frogs. So far she has enjoyed school and not really cried all day like I thought she might. Good for her! Maybe watching her brother go all this time has helped her to adjust. Hopefully it will be a good year for her!

Our mid-August trip to Maryland to see Pappy and family was really run. Ellery enjoyed the swings at Rocks State Park as well as acting like a chief on the king and queen seat of rocks. She was old enough this time to become buddies with Pappy. Great memories!

Right before school started we headed to Chattanooga for a day of fun. Ellery was too small to enjoy the musuem last time we went, but this time she had a great time. She enjoyed finger painting with her friend Kate, and there were plenty of exhibits for hands on.
